Volunteering your time at
Emergency Infant Services is a very rewarding experience. By

helping thousands of little ones who cannot help themselves.

Interviewers

As an
interviewer, you have the opportunity to speak directly with the
families in
crisis to determine their needs. After visiting with the family, you
let the family know
what EIS can provide for them and recommend other organizations
that might be of
assistance to them. Volunteers are needed Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday,
and Friday.
Processors
Top

Volunteers
are needed to process donations. These people are
responsible for weighing, shelving, and hanging incoming
donations. Some donations, such as diapers, must be
repackaged before being given out to the families. This
position would be a great one for anyone who wants flexible
hours because these tasks can be done anytime Monday through
Friday.
Phone Attendant

Volunteers
are needed to answer phones Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and
Friday. Questions over the phone usually pertain to the
hours of operation and services provided. Phone
attendants also greet people who come into the office.
Play Area Supervisor

Volunteers
are needed for the Children's play area, Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Flexibility is allowed; volunteers may work the entire shift
or desired time increments.
Shoppers

Volunteers
are always needed out in the field shopping for items, such as,
baby food, infant formulas, medications, vitamins, and diapers.
Shopping can be done anytime Monday through Friday.
Carpenters

Volunteer
Carpenters are needed to do occasional projects for the agency,
such as building shelves, hanging doors, and painting.
Transporters

Volunteer are
occasionally needed to deliver donations to the agency.
Volunteers who own trucks or vans would be helpful.
